Thousands of protesters descended on the nation’s Capitol for April 15 tax deadline protests as activists offered up a new “Contract From America” aimed at using the winning formula of the 1994 Republican revolution while also developing a direction for the burgeoning movement.
WASHINGTON — Thousands of protesters descended on the nation’s Capitol for April 15 tax deadline protests as activists offered up a new “Contract From America” aimed at using the winning formula of the 1994 Republican revolution while also developing a direction for the burgeoning movement.
Those behind the document say that by asking visitors to the Web site contractfromamerica.org to propose and vote on the agenda, the results are a list not “handed down from on high by old-bull politicians, but one handed up from the true grassroots in this country.”
“After garnering nearly half a million votes in less than two months, the Contract from America has now been finalized into a blueprint that will serve notice to public officials about what the people want for their future,” reads a press release from the contract’s organizers.

America is Great! Obamanomics will not take us down if we are willing to get involved and demand reversal of socialist policies. Freedom is at stake, Obama wants the U.S. To be a product of central planning, his central planning. Let us stop him and his planning for us. We broke away from a government that wanted to control us. Let us give him a one way ticket to the socialistic country of his choice! Oh, and as traveling companions, Pellosi and Reed will be on board the Airforce One to wherever that socialist paradise is, that will be their final trip on the taxpayers dollar! The contract with America should be signed by every freedom loving American. Let that be our commitment to Change and Hope American Style!
when are we going to have the politicians pay part of their healthcare like we have to and take a cut in salary like everyone else
Does this contract have the “28th” amendment where Congress and the Senate share what the people get.

I am sorry that illegal immigrants were not addressed in the Contract for America. I want the laws inforced by our judical system and not over looked by political persuasion. Those people that break our laws should not be rewarded.

We will win if we remain united as Americans. We need to throw out the party in power that is so undermining our liberty but Republicans cannot be smug because many of them have contributed to the situation in which we find ourselves. We need true and knowledgeable patriots who will sacrifice for this country, not vacuum hard-earned money out of our pockets to line theirs.
